Biography
After more than ten years in practice as a qualified solicitor, Duncan joined the School of Law in December 2021 having tutored here and at another university part-time since 2020.
Research
While Duncan has interests in many areas of Scots Private Law, he is most interested in the way legal systems deal with death: its contemplation, its happening and its consequences. He is in the process of carrying out research into commissary (or probate) procedure.
In partnership with his colleague, Yvonne Evans, he contributes a quarterly article on Private Client Law to the Journal of the Law Society of Scotland.

Postgraduate: Private Client and Advanced Private Client on the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice.
