Biography

Polly has a background in both engineering and design. She studied for a BEng degree at Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine followed by a Masters degree at the Royal College of Art. While studying at the RCA she became interested in the use of textiles in product design and her final degree show focused around a small collection of objects made from technical textiles. Subsequent to this she worked in industry for a number of years designing technical survival wear garments from fabrics such as Gore-Tex. Polly now lectures on the Product Design programme at Dundee. Her research has been exploring how technical textiles have and can impact the world of product design.
