A Decade of Design marks the tenth anniversary of Dundee becoming the UK’s only UNESCO City of Design.

Taking place in the University’s Lamb Gallery, the collection looks back at the past ten years of design graduates from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design (DJCAD), showcasing textiles, jewellery, animation and more.

Matthew Jarron, Curator, said, “The strength of design teaching and research at DJCAD was a key part of Dundee’s bid to become a UNESCO City of Design. We wanted to celebrate the amazing work our students have done over the past decade.

“A huge number of our graduates have since gone on to successful careers as professional designers, so with this year’s Degree Show coming up soon, it’s fascinating to look back at where these talented alumni started.”

The exhibition features more than a hundred pieces acquired from six undergraduate and postgraduate courses – Animation & VFX, Comics & Graphic Novels, Graphic Design, Illustration, Jewellery & Metal Design and Textile Design.

Organised by University of Dundee Museums, it is being held as part of the Dundee Month of Design programme with the support of the Dundee City of Design team. The exhibition opens on 4 May and runs until 3 August. The Lamb Gallery is open to the public Monday-Saturday and admission is free.
