Elizabeth Donaldson
My art practice is multidisciplinary, taking different mediums and combining them to create textural pieces. Looking closely at how art can dictate emotions.

My artistic work has recently shifted in line with my own personal life. After a long-term relationship ended, I started to
reflect on areas of my life, looking back on my childhood and time at university. My art transformed into a physical
representation of emotion. Through considered use of texture and colour my work illustrates healing from heartbreak
by acknowledging the pain of it but also the growth that accompanies it. By taking something that at the time felt very
painful and turning it into art has not only healed myself but allowed for me to discover new techniques and mediums
in my practice.
