By approaching art through storytelling the focus of my work is to conjure up all sorts of interesting worlds and characters that inhabit them.

About

leo-petkunas-profile

The majority of work I do in some shape or way can be classified as concept art. As a teenager, I was obsessed with writing and visualizing intricate stories about fantasy worlds which transitioned into research into animation, comics as well as cinematography. Some of the artists that have significantly influenced my work are Mike Mignola, Gabriel Picolo, Kim Jung Gi, Tove Jansson, Hirohiko Araki as well as the works of Ghibli and Laika studios. In terms of plans for the future, unsurprisingly, my hopes are to work in the games or film industry designing concept art.
