Historically museums have evolved from exclusive domains of the elite to public institutions, symbolising a shift towards democratising knowledge and culture. However, as museums navigates the complexities of contemporary society, it faces the challenge of remaining relevant and inclusive.

This design research explores the intersection of feminist perspective and museum design, using the V&A Dundee, as a case study. It was conducted through an exploration of the historical evolution of museums, the concept of public space, and the role of feminism in curatorial practice. Furthermore, it aims to lay a solid foundation for understanding the complexities of museum design and its implications for societal engagement.
