This is a Level 3 module for mathematics in engineering. By this point, you will have developed an understanding of much of the mathematics needed for engineering.

This module will fully equip you with the fundamental mathematical skills needed for an undergraduate engineering degree. It also covers material required for accreditation of degree programmes in engineering.

What you will learn

In this module, you will:

  • learn about matrices and linear systems
  • extend your understanding of calculus to cover its application to two or more variables
  • develop skills in using numerical methods
  • learn about the Fourier series and transforms

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

  • apply all of the above subjects to engineering problems
