Alison Heaney

Alison is from Bangor, Northern Ireland and now lives in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Alison  completed her BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering in 2019 at the School of Science and Engineering. 

About Alison  

I currently work for Parker Hannifin, a global leader in motion and control technologies as a Mechanical Design Engineer in the Filtration and Bioscience Division. When I’m not working, I enjoy knitting, crocheting, hiking, walking with my Welsh Springer Spaniel, Freya, and watching rugby. 

Reason for becoming an Alumni Ambassador 

I am currently trying to set up a partnership between Dundee University and my company in the hope of providing masters students with placements, being involved with the university in this way is a good stepping-stone to getting that partnership up and running.
