Through community engagement sessions, we used interactive posters and questionnaires to gather these experiences and incorporate them into the recruitment of our nursing students. This approach helps us better understand the real-world needs and expectations of the people our nurses will serve.

By including scenarios based on actual community feedback, we ensure that our interview process evaluates not only technical skills but also the ability to connect with patients on a human level. This reflects our commitment to producing nurses who are not only competent but also compassionate and responsive to the needs of diverse communities.

The outcomes of our community engagement sessions have led to the development of more realistic scenarios for interviewing applicants, based on real-life experiences. These scenarios are designed to assess how applicants would handle situations that require compassion, quick thinking, and effective communication.
