The School of Health Sciences is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic postdoctoral researcher to work with the Improvement and Implementation Research (IIMPRES) Group. Applications are invited from applied health researchers from any relevant disciplinary background who wish to develop their research skills and gain experience of improvement and implementation research.

The appointee will work alongside Dr Albert Farre and Dr Nicola Gray, IIMPRES group co-leads and with other team members and colleagues to implement the research strategy of the School. You will contribute to existing and planned activities, including current project work, data analysis, publications development of new proposals for grant capture, and knowledge translation/mobilisation activities.

You will have the opportunity to develop and lead on publications and be supported to develop your own research objectives within new projects, together with researchers in the School, across the University and from other institutions, through learning and networking opportunities. The post holder will benefit from mentorship and career development opportunities offered by the IIMPRES group, the School and the University of Dundee more widely.

You should be educated to PhD level in an area relevant to healthcare and, ideally, have a background in applied health research. You will have a real passion and commitment to the use of evidence to improve health and care; and to working in partnership with academics, practitioners, patients, carers and communities. You should have an interest in interdisciplinary approaches and will be building/have an established track record of publishing and applying for research funding.
