George Salisbury

"A humanoid alien lands in the city of Dundee, Scotland for the first film, and connects with the city environment around them through visions of past and abstract life visible in the city's infrastructure.  Inspired by the creator's perspectives on city life and how it has evolved from previous establishment to modern development".  - Project Synopsis

This project was filmed over the course of seven days, and was animated and composited for considerably longer.  It was my first major venture into using animation as a storytelling technique as well as a method of visual representation.  I had to experiment with new forms of VFX and compositing in order to complete the work in the allocated time, and had to refine my animations numerous times, but the final output has been more than worth the combined effort.  I adhered to my feedback throughout the whole experience as it was vital in how the project progressed and how it has reached its finished state.  I owe my progress to my tutors and peers as well as my flatmates who have assisted me with filming.  The project is entitled "Seoras" which is Gaelic for my name, George, and is something I am very proud of and look forward to showing to fellow artists.
