About
Hey there! My name is Vilma, a 3D modeller and fine art enthusiast.
Ever since I was young, I've been captivated by the art world, especially in its digital form. Combining my love for creativity and technology, pursuing Masters in 3D modelling was the perfect and most natural choice. Over the years of studying, first in BDes Animation and now in MSc, I have honed my skills and gained extensive experience using industry-standard software like Blender, Maya, ZBrush and Substance Painter. From character modelling to hand-painted texturing, my portfolio showcases various projects that have allowed me to push boundaries and explore different artistic styles.
My master's project is an exhibitable collection of fine art, a collaboration between modern technology and romanticism, as well as Finnish mythology. My work intends to recreate the romantic feeling of old masterpieces in a 3D environment. The collection also transfers from digital screens into the real world in the form of 3D printing in a mixed media sculpture. All of the pieces can be seen in person at the Masters Show.
Being part of this exciting field has taught me the value of collaboration, adaptability, and imagination. As I continue to learn and grow as an artist, my ultimate goal is to make a mark in the animation and art industry by creating memorable characters and breathtaking worlds.
