jMacEco Hockey Bag has been designed for a lifetime use in sports.

The majority of sports bags are made from materials such as, Polyester (PET), produced from crude oil or from recycled plastics, which still require virgin plastics to be produced and therefore this is an endless cycle which needs to be stopped!

Otherwise, oil companies will continue to extract oil from the Earth to produce plastics which finally end up in landfill, entering our land and waterways! This has become one of the biggest threats to our environment where we need to look for alternative energy supplies, to move away from our throw-away culture and rethink how we produce and maintain products.

I have chosen Waxed Cotton Materials, one with a Plant-Based Wax and the other with a Traditional Biodegradable Wax. As a result, this bag can be repaired, re-treated with wax to maintain its water resistance. Sheep’s Wool has been used as padding and to counter odours and dampness, Bamboo Charcoal Bags will be supplied.

At the end of the bag’s lifespan parts can be recycled, and the bag will be biodegradable.
