Lydia Pattison
My focus is on making colourful and detailed illustrations that tell a story. I love getting to add fantasy elements to my art.
About
I enjoy creating highly detailed artworks which is something I’ve learned not to get too carried away with. Using colours and composition to get across the right mood and atmosphere is something I try to do in each of my illustrations. I prefer to make my art digitally however I still love to experiment with traditional materials as well. My art style is still evolving which gives me the freedom to try different things and see what works for me.
I get inspired by different forms of storytelling such as graphic novels, films and music. I also take inspiration from fantasy, nature, fashion and day to day life. My range of interests helps me to be flexible when it comes to working with briefs.
I love doing illustrations for books and making those worlds come to life visually. I especially enjoy making comics and using sequential images to tell a story one image at a time.
In the near future I want to open my own online shop and sell my art.
