Product Design BSc (Hons)

My work this year has been a documentation of learning and developing skills with leathercraft. Which I will continue to pursue moving forward after graduation.

Brídge, pronounced Bree-dge, draws its name from the Celtic goddess of poetry, smithcraft, healing, and inspiration, Bríd. Encased in a handcrafted leather box holds an interchangeable prompt booklet, sketchbook, and modular toolkit designed to ignite creative activities on the go. To inspire both budding creatives and seasoned professionals alike to be more mindful of how inspiration can come from all around.

Many find it challenging to be spontaneously creative. Brídge serves as a bridge to encourage users to draw inspiration from their surroundings in their creative journey.  With the guidance of Bríd on all your travels, take moments whenever you can to bridge boredom or creative slumps to new avenues of inspiration and skills

Aerial view of man at a table. He is sketching in a leather bound book. Empty coffee cup to his right. Leather encased toolkit across from him open on display. Stationary on show and in sectional compartments. Tartan toolkit cover adjacent to the case

Here I wanted to show the kit in full use. Highlighting every aspect of the kit in one scene.

A split mirrored image of man sitting at a table. On the left is a duller toned light aesthetic, with him looking bored scrolling on his phone. The right shows the man brighter, happier and sketching in his book. The case and toolkit displayed on the table

A cheesy comparison of life without my concept. Grey, boring and doom scrolling on a phone, uninspired by the world around. Compared to the colourful vibrant appreciation of the world sparking creativity. (Sunshine and rainbows not guaranteed).
