Main Library opening hours    

Summer Vacation

Main Library has an access control system with security gates regulating both entry and exit. Staff and students from the University of Dundee should open the gates using their ID/matriculation card.

DJCAD Library opening hours

DJCAD Library is in the Matthew Building which has an access control system. Staff and students from the University of Dundee should call at DJCAD Reception (Monday - Friday 09:00 - 16:45) to have their ID/matriculation card activated for access.

Robertson Trust Medical Library opening hours

Monday - Sunday

  • 24 hours

24 hour access to the Medical Library is regulated by an access control system and is only available to students and staff from the University of Dundee, and to NHS Tayside members of the Library. To have your ID/matriculation card enabled, please ninewells-library@dundee.ac.uk and allow up to five working days (Monday - Friday) for the application to be processed. 

Kirkcaldy Campus Library opening hours

The Kirkcaldy Campus Library is located on Forth Avenue, Kirkcaldy - on the first floor of Fife Campus.

To access the library before 09:00 Monday-Friday or after 17:00 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, staff and students from the University of Dundee should ring the doorbell at the main entrance door, or phone the caretaker (number displayed at the door), and show their University of Dundee ID card to be admitted.

Other members of the Library should show their library membership card and another form of photographic ID.
