This module covers the rules governing the competence of courts to hear international civil proceedings. It also covers applicable law, and alternative means of dispute resolution by means or arbitration.
The module will also explore the legal aspects when drafting legal contracts. Knowledge of these legal aspects will be particularly relevant for lawyers advising clients who are involved in international business transactions.

learn international civil court competence rules and alternative dispute resolution through arbitration
develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of the role of arbitration in resolving international commercial disputes
understand the rules granting jurisdiction to courts in cross-border commercial disputes. This will apply both globally and in Europe
