Hatch - Mullit Cider

Inspired by the classic shape of the iconic 80’s hairdo, Mullit takes cider from vintage to the 2020’s. While most cider brands today focus their branding image on fruit, farmland and tradition, Mullit is focussed on current trends and drinking culture. With the resurgent popularity of the mullet as a fun, gender-neutral haircut, this brand embraces the inherent silliness of the mullet, while its spiced flavour adds a new kick to the traditional flavours of cider. Mullit’s logo embodies this, following the shape of the classic haircut, while keeping a minimal, friendly face to draw a modern audience.

This project is shortlisted for a BrandOpus 2024 Hatch Newcomer Award.

ISTD - Queer Oases

This book is intended as an introduction for young LGBTQ+ and curious people to access information about the wide variety of recreational spaces where it is safe to explore their identities and express their queerness. It is inspired by the culture of underground zine production and distribution that existed in the 80’s and 90’s to help queer people find queer spaces, as well as access information about HIV/AIDs. This distribution of cost effective broadly distributed zines historically aided in helping people find joy by connecting them to their community and providing them outlets to express themselves.
