Matthew Jackson

In my work at DJCAD, I have tried to capture atmospheric environments in a variety of settings through my backgrounds, informing the narrative of any project at hand. Combining my work as a storyboard artist with the ability to bring that world to life through my background art and compositing has been an infinitely rewarding practice that I continue with great enthusiasm.
My main project this year was working on the film "The Curious Happenings of No. 24, 10th Avenue" as a storyboarder, background artist and compositor, along with completing additional concept and background art for "TV Dinner". I also had the opportunity to conceptualise my personal project "Tinstar" with Ewan Wynne, and in turn work on his project "Lucy". Both of these have been a great experience for widening my expertise and pushing myself as an artist, gaining a great understanding of a professional pipeline process.
