By directing our degree film Origami I dipped into a variety of specialisms such as Modelling, Rigging, Animation and VFX. My passion for creative problem-solving made me explore the more technical side of 3D and led me to specialise in Modelling and Rigging. Through various projects seen in my showreel, I was striving to improve my skill set and find new opportunities to grow.
While directing Origami, I was able to work with different characters varying in complexity, which then allowed me to experiment with new techniques and include different functions into my rigs, such as corrective blendshapes, IK/FK switches and dynamic hair systems.
In addition to our main film, I took on personal projects to learn more about rigging for props and vehicles. During my studies, I also refined my skills in 3D Modelling and Animation, which then helped me bring characters to life.
