The majority of our resources are available online, reducing the need for you to buy or borrow a large number of books. You will have a personal Advisor of Studies to support you through your studies.

Assessment

You may be assessed in the following ways:

  • reflective and critical essays
  • case studies and scenarios
  • audits of practice
  • poster presentations

There is one main assessment per module in the form of a written assignment. You also need to provide evidence of work-based learning. You will be supported in developing your academic writing skills throughout the programme by regular skills sessions, individual feedback and support from tutors and access to support from the Academic Skills Centre.

Support

You will be assigned an Adviser of Studies to help support you through your studies. You will also have access to support from to the University of Dundee Support Services and your fellow students via online discussion forums and social media.

Next issues that can impact the health and wellbeing of children will be explored. You will develop your observation skills before exploring potential solutions for positive change.

You will explore different learning methods on early years education. The focus is on play and creativity within a professional context. This offers an exploration of your own teaching methods.

You will also look at how this is shaped and the impact on children’s holistic learning, wellbeing and development.
